The Puppyhurst Doggo News – Wagging Away the Summer

Dateline: Tuesday, September 7, 2021

Submitted by rover reporter Ceiba Bunny

This week, our doggo about town meet up with relatively new Puppyhurst resident Apollo, age 18 months. A super Lab mix, Apollo was rescued from Virginia and sent to New York with and organization called Joyful Rescues when he was about 3 months. In New York he met his furever family who only moved to North Seattle in January. He’s been having a blast getting to know the other doggos in his sniffdom. And since he loves walkies, he’s getting to meet them pretty quickly.

Still a young pup, Apollo, named after the spacecraft, is still discovering what he loves. He is learning new tricks, likes chasing the rabbits who are silly enough to enter his yard, and carrying his toys around. He and his family are still discovering what he likes to eat, but chicken is definitely at the top of his list. Chicken always gets his attention!

When asked what Apollo would like to be when he grows up, he said, rather thoughtfully for a young fellow, “I’d like to be a construction worker. I like carrying things to new places and digging lovely new holes for things to be put in. And since my folks have a new place, I know I can be a big help!”

We know you can, too, Apollo. Welcome to Puppyhurst!
